A: Brookdale associates bring a wide range of knowledge and experience to the business of senior living. Q: Does BSL and/or ISC accept entry level applicants?
A: Absolutely! Several departments are can and will support new graduates as they enter the workplace for the first time. A commitment to our residents and a passion for service will insure success.
Q: Which careers requires specific licensure and/or certification?
A: All nursing and therapy positions will have certification and or licensure requirements that vary by state. The state boards can generally guide you through the process of the education and testing necessary to embark on these career paths.
Q: Do any positions/departments provide on the job training?
A: Yes, when it is appropriate we do provide training to support those associates who would like to advance their careers. Our Culinary Institute program is an example of enhanced training for our cooks and dining associates.
Q: Does BSL and/or ISC provide tuition assistance for those looking to advance their education?
A: Yes, tuition assistance is available, but it must be approved by the immediate supervisor and directly related to the associate’s career path. For example, a Physical Therapy Assistant may choose to return to school to pursue a Physical Therapy degree. In this case, the associate would be eligible for the tuition assistance program.
