Awards

Since beginning our quest to provide exceptional senior living in 1978, Brookdale® Senior Living has been honored to receive a variety of awards in our industry. Most recently, Brookdale was honored when two of our programs were recognized by the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA).

Brookdale’s Good People Program and our Culinary Arts Institute won ALFA’s 2008 “Best of the Best” Awards, which recognize innovative, operational best practices at senior living companies.

As a potential Brookdale associate the Good People Program should be of special interest to you! Based on one of our cornerstone beliefs that good people are the key to our success, this plan was developed to reward our associates for referring and retaining others to work in our communities.  Through the Good People Program associates are paid for each hour their recruit works and may be eligible for a bonus for each person they refer to the company. The end result being that the candidate referred through Good People begins a promising new career, residents receive top- notch service, associates receive compensation for their referral and as a company, Brookdale grows stronger!

The second 2008 “Best of the Best” Awards from ALFA went to the Culinary Arts Institute at Brookdale Senior Living. The CAI is an innovative program designed to enhance the culinary abilities of our dining associates. It is a professional development program combining classroom and hands-on training, internet courses and the support of traveling CAI chefs that visit and train within our communities.

At Brookdale Senior Living we consistently strive to provide the best possible care to our residents. Many of our senior living communities have also been recognized at local levels throughout the country and internally by Brookdale corporate awards programs. The most abundant rewards: the smiles on the faces of our wonderful residents!
